NSS

National Service Scheme (NSS) is a permanent youth programme under, The Ministry of Youth affairs and sports, Government of India. The overall objective of NSS is development of the personality of students through community Service. The motto of NSS is “NOT ME ….. BUT YOU ….”

NSS has been a part of the college activities since 2007. 

Types of Activities:

1. Regular Activities

2. Special Camping Program

Regular Activities:

Any student enrolled as an NSS volunteer should put in at least 240 hours of useful Social Work in a continuous period of two years (i.e. 120 hours per year). Such a volunteer is eligible to get NSS Service Certificate from the Directorate of Technical Education.

Programmes for NSS Volunteers (Under Regular Activities):

1. Leadership Motivation and Personality Development.

2. Health Education and Awareness Programme.

3. First Aid Training.

4. Career Guidance.

5. Road Safety Programme.

6. Entrepreneurship Development programme.

7. Soft skills Development Programmes.

8. STI/HIV/AIDS Awareness Programme.

9. Health and Hygiene.

10. Observance of various important days.

Special Camping Programme:

Under this, camps of 10 days (now 7 days) duration are organized in adopted villages with a specified theme identified by Govt. of India by involving local youth along with our NSS volunteers. Volunteers can also get the Certificate for this camp from the Directorate of Technical Education.
